GALLAGHER BIO
Louise
has been acting since the tender age of 5, when she did her first school
play, and continued to get leading roles in school and community theater
all the way through high school. Her father was a career Navy man, so
she had moved 10 times before graduating from Nursing School
in Orlando, Florida. She was soon married and raising a family
in Southern CA. When the children got involved with
a community theater group, Louise realized how much she had missed performing
and enrolled in college to get training in voice, dance,
musical theater and acting for the camera.
Louise started as an extra in feature films and in the chorus of community
theater groups, and then began doing live performances as an Elizabeth
Taylor Impersonator. In time, she got leading roles in
Equity Theater and Independent Films
and small parts on Television Series and Made
for TV Movies. She traveled to Japan to do
a TV commercial and print shoot with the Japanese "Oprah."
She has done Standup at The Comedy Store and created
the role of "Elizabeth Taylor " in the LA version of the Off
Broadway hit, "Dressing Room Divas"
which ran for 18 months.
Recently, she enjoyed her role as a teacher in the Teen mega-hit, cheerleading
film, "Bring It On" starring Kirsten
Dunst. She has worked with such stars as Jesse Bradford,
Raquel Welch, Burt Reynolds, Tom
Berenger, Crystal Bernard, Casey
Kasim,
Kevin Spirtas, Rhonda Shear, and
many others. She made an appearance on MAD-TV, Good
Morning America, and in the Clive Barker thriller,
"Lord of Illusions."
Louise has enjoyed impersonating "Elizabeth
Taylor," "Monica
Lewinsky," and NOW "First
Lady Laura Bush" for audiences large and small in
Japan, Mexico, Spain, L.A., Palm Springs, Las Vegas (recently at the
IGCITA Convention on the Legends in Concert Stage), San Diego, Newport
Beach, and at numerous AIDS benefits, conventions and private parties.
She has won awards for the "Best Pop/Rock Vocal" and
the "Humanitarian Award" at the "Reel Awards" in
Hollywood. Louise has always enjoyed writing song parodies and has
performed many of these in her various "look-alike" jobs.
She has taken Improv Classes at CBS' Comedy
On The Lot, and at The Old Globe Theatre.
She has also taken numerous Film Acting, Voiceover, Commercial
Acting and Cold Reading Workshops with major
Casting Directors, Directors and Acting Coaches in the LA area. She
is a member of SAG and AFTRA and is
trained to use an Ear Prompter when acting as a
Spokesperson for Industrial films.
Her Special Skills include:
Southern, Standard English, Cockney, Irish, and New York accents.
In Sports,
she excels at Tennis, Swimming, Rollerblading, Windsurfing, Skiing,
Bicycling and Horseback Riding.
As
a Registered Nurse married to a Doctor for "MANY
years"( a Plastic Surgeon, for heaven's sake...a match made
in heaven for an actress!!!) Louise says that "Laughter is
truly the Best Medicine !" She also believes,
"The Lord is my Shepherd, I have everything I need." Psalm
23:1.
